The full resource:

Your baby’s result for the severe combined immune deficiency (SCID) newborn screening test was not normal, and your baby received a further blood test.

These results are now back, and show that your baby has enough T cells, and your baby does not have SCID.

The immunologists at Starship Children’s Health in Auckland have contacted your LMC (midwife or specialist), who will discuss this result with you.

No further newborn screening for SCID is necessary. Your baby does not need any further infection precautions, and may now receive all routine immunisations.

Further information

If you have any questions or concerns, call your LMC or your baby’s doctor.
